This is a short briefing about me. My name is Abel and I am 19 years old now. I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, and of course Addis is a capital to Africa. The place I used to live is called Gullele.Its one of those places in Addis which is always quite and peaceful.

I went to Bethlehem school till I finished grade 8. I had great teachers back there. I can say they were more like my parents to me rather than just a teacher. School life in Bethlehem was sweet!

I love drawing. I believe pictures can give a better understanding of something than just writing about that subject. There is a saying; pictures speak louder than words which is true. Well, I like reading as well as knowing more and more is important.

I went to three high schools after Bethlehem. I went to Menen for almost two years a year in Metro and my last high school which near to where I live. When I completed grade 12, I came to the UK.

Like everyone else, I want to be a successful man in the near future. I want to go back to my beloved country and make my contribution on my field of knowledge. That’s of course on Gods will. And finally, I think it is right to remind ourselves what president John F. Kennedy said. “And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” Let’s ask what we can do for our Ethiopia.
